The London System would be a wonderful opening chess move for beginner players. Because the white could quickly develop the colored square bishop which is usually quite an underutilized minor piece.
It usually arises after 1.d4 and 2.Bf4, or 1.d4, 2.Nf3 and 3.Bf4
You might say that this is a “system” opening that can be used quite effectively against almost any black defense. Therefore making it extremely good against the King’s Indian Defense systems.
The London System is a Queen’s Pawn Game opening where the White opens with 1.d4, but you do not play the Queen’s Gambit.
This type of opening has gained a reputation for being an extremely solid starting point. And is also a great way to beat the set defenses against 1.d4
